Did you know that President George Washington sat inside our bar, well it was a living room then, April 7, 1791? Documented history tells Pres. Washington's horses got a little jumpy and pulled the President into the Occoquan River while crossing on the ferry. As fate would have it, the ferryman lived in town and asked the president if he would like to dry off in front of his fireplace. The president gladly accepted the offer, and the rest is history!!!
Our little house has had a colorful history. But it may best be known for its guests who have decided to hang around a bit longer than they're wordly bodies did!
We have captured several instances of prior inhabitants sharing their lives with us. Click the following links to see some of the adventures we have had.

3. Hortense doesn't like watching ghost stories

Good news! After over two years, The Spot at Belmont Bay is gonna happen.
Bad news! The two years we have spent paying on rent, utilities, leasing equipment, insurance, and so much more have drained our initial budget of $40k. We are now $250k into this, and we just have no more to give.
Our opening guestimate is mid-September, but the contractors and county are still delaying us. Each delay costs us an additional $8-10K a week.
Thanks to all who have donated, but as you can see, we need just a bit more assistance. Every little bit helps!
